SPAWNSY

About Spawnsy

Spawnsy is a site about games, hardware and the Counter-Strike 2 scene, built by a group of friends. We wanted to make something of our own for players, and we do it without a big company behind us: no tech giant, no publisher, no marketing department.

Where we come from

Flavi started the site and wrote it from the first line of code. Kama and Wojtek joined later, once it was clear there was plenty to write about and people to write it for.

Each of us plays, listens and clicks every day. That is why each topic goes to the person you can really talk to about it.

The team

Three people write here. Every article carries the byline of one of them.

Flavi

Flavi

Filip

Founder, CS2 and esports

Filip wrote this site from the first line of code, so he knows it from the database to the last button. He plays CS2 at FACEIT level 10 and follows new technology with the curiosity of someone who builds the things he writes about. He is also behind the Spawnsy tools: the Spawnsy Faceit extension and the crosshair database.

Writes about the CS2 scene, tournaments and FACEIT, plus anything that fits no other desk.

Kama

Kama

Kamila

Games and audio

Kamila prefers games you can finish: stories, atmosphere and well-made worlds over ranking tables. She has an ear for sound, so she is the one who sits down with headsets and microphones and can tell whether a set sounds good and whether the person on the other end can listen to her voice for hours.

Writes about games and releases, and reviews headsets and microphones.

Wojtek

Technology, AI and keyboards

Wojtek is our research nerd. He digs through documentation, comparisons and changelogs until he reaches the source of a story, and only then sits down to write. His profile is close to Flavi's, tilted further toward hardware and artificial intelligence, and keyboards and mice land on his desk.

Writes about technology and AI, and reviews keyboards and mice.

How we work

Reviews

When we call a piece a review, the product went through our hands. We test it ourselves, use it, and only then rate it. Pieces built from manufacturer documentation and other people's opinions are labelled differently, and we say so plainly.

News

News rests on primary sources: company statements, documents, match records and official pages. When something is unconfirmed we say it is unconfirmed.

Corrections

Mistakes happen. An error a reader reports is corrected in the article itself.

Where player data comes from

Pro player settings, meaning sensitivity, DPI, resolution, binds and launch options, are collected from publicly available sources, checked, and combined with team and tournament data.

Crosshair codes are refreshed every 12 hours. Where we have match demos, we read the code the player held in the last round of the match and pick the newest one we can confirm. Player pages and settings guides show data from the same database, so they change along with it.
