MCHOSE G3 V2 Pro review. A classic shape returns in a wireless form

Not every good mouse needs to look futuristic. The MCHOSE G3 V2 Pro works because it takes the opposite route. It uses a shape players already understand and focuses on bringing that formula up to a modern standard.

PC Gamer was right to frame it as a worthy successor to the old G305 spirit. This mouse makes immediate sense for players who like compact, familiar bodies for claw or relaxed claw play and do not need their gear to feel dramatic in order to feel good.

The shape is the real selling point

What I like most about the G3 V2 Pro is how little it tries to fake a personality it does not need. Rather than being an extreme ultralight shell for one grip style, it offers an adaptable layout that feels familiar. It is simply a mouse that feels familiar within seconds. For a lot of players, that matters more than another splashy performance slogan.

MCHOSE G3 V2 on a test bench
The biggest strength of the G3 V2 Pro is not one dramatic number. It is the fact that nothing in the shape fights your hand once you start playing.

Not a record breaker, just a smart choice

At 59 grams, this is not chasing the lightest mouse crown. That is fine. The shell feels less compromised for it, and the 800 mAh battery remains one of the more practical parts of the package. MCHOSE is not trying to squeeze every metric to the edge. It is building a mouse that feels stable in day-to-day use.

Tri-mode support also matters more than spec-sheet purists sometimes admit. If you want one mouse for gaming and ordinary laptop work, having cable, 2.4 GHz, and Bluetooth in the same product is still useful.

Where the limits still show

It does not target full premium territory. The coating will not suit everyone equally, and 59 grams may register as merely decent rather than exciting to some players. At around $40 for the Pro variant, though, it is hard to turn those into fatal complaints.

That is the core appeal. The G3 V2 Pro does not overpromise. It gives you a sensible shape and a price that remains easy to justify.
